Why this piece is featured

The longest UI tour in the set — dashboard, an AI-apps-used panel, a filterable all-apps table, a nested app-details drawer — kept legible through consistent structure, covering a genuinely current topic: shadow IT and AI app usage tracking.

The SaaS Management page is where you review application usage data collected by the ScalePad Agent for a client. The page has two tabs, Dashboard and All Apps, with a date range selector that controls both.

Date range selector

Click the date range selector in the top left to open the date picker, which offers three ways to choose a range: Quick Picks (preset ranges like This Month, Last Month, This Quarter), a Monthly or Quarterly grid you can toggle between, or a Custom range with start and end date fields. Click Apply to apply the selection, or the X button to close without changing it. Changing the date range updates the metrics, lists, and charts on both tabs.

Dashboard tab

Selected by default, this tab gives a high-level view of application usage across the client's environment. In any panel showing a list of applications, click an application name to open the app details drawer (see below).

App Usage shows three top-line metrics — Total Apps Used, Unapproved Apps Used, and AI Apps Used — plus a bar chart of usage over the last 12 months.

AI Apps Used summarizes AI application usage across four tabs: AI Apps Used (a ranked list with categories, user counts, and a usage indicator), Categories (most-used categories with a usage bar chart), Users (top users by number of apps used), and Departments (top five departments by users and apps).

Unapproved Apps Used follows the same four-tab layout, for applications that haven't been approved.

Top Apps highlights the top-performing application for the selected range, plus the biggest increase and biggest decrease compared to the previous period, ranked by Users, Time, or Sessions.

New Apps This Month shows newly installed or reported applications, with a count, a trend indicator, and a list you can approve or un-approve apps from directly.

Unused Apps This Month shows applications with zero usage in the selected range — useful for spotting license optimization opportunities, such as apps you're paying for that a client no longer needs.

All Apps tab

A table of every application detected across the client's devices in the selected range. Columns include App, Unique Users, User Change, Avg Time in App, Time Change, Interactions, and Interactions Change — click any column header to sort by it. The final column's context menu lets you approve or un-approve an application.

Above the table, a search bar filters by application name or category, and a Filter menu narrows results by Lifecycle (New or Unused Apps), Approval status, Department, or App Category.

Bulk approving apps: click Select Apps, click each application you want to approve or un-approve, then click Approve or Un-Approve in the bar at the bottom of the page.

Exporting the table: click the Export button in the upper right of the list to download the visible data as a CSV file.

App details drawer

Clicking any row in the All Apps table opens a drawer with detailed information, organized into:

Agent Deployment and Settings

Two buttons in the top right open related pages: Agent Deployment, for generating enrollment tokens and reviewing deployed devices and users (see Deploying the SaaS Management Agent), and Settings, for changing the data collection mode and managing departments.
